hang on fuge ??

i was thinking of adding a refugium on my 30 gal tank and i saw that cpr makes a hang on. Would it even help, dimensions look kind of tiny 18x4x12. if it works im all for it but if not , diy is plan B

They are good for growing pods but not for taking nitrates out with macroalgae.
