Hang on overflow

I am currently running a 110 gal reef. Its been up and running for a little over 3 yrs now. At this point I would really like to eliminate my canister filters, a new reef ready tank was an option, but will now have to wait about a year. In the mean time I was wondering if anyone has had experience with lifereef HOB overflows. Are they reliable, and if not what would you suggest. Thank you in advance

From what I have heard, any overflow box is reliable as long as you prime it right and it does not leak, any of the plmbing and the box itself.
