Hang on Wet / Dry Filters?

I've got one on my reef 55g. Works great. My levels are right on. I got mine the first time I was involved in reef tanks in 1990 and dug it back out when I got back into it 1.5 years ago.
It's got a aerobic chamber, anaerobic chamber and a protein skimmer in one hang on unit..

I use hang-on filters. I don't like wet-dry filters though. I agree with some experts that think they raise nitrates unless cleaned every day, and who wants to do that.
ps- I know some people like wet-dry filters, so feel free to voice your rebuttle.

Well I went to my LFS today to buy a protein skimmer, and the owner told me about how my new Fluval 404 was a piece of garbage, he then suggested the wet dry filter with protien skimmer,so I bought it ( he had the Aqua c for like 189, the combo was like 230 so for the extra 50 bucks I went for it) Right now I am running both filter systems..... I just was looking for some feed back for the pros here....
