Hanging Rock on PVC

I was looking around a couple of the display tanks at the LFS and noticed that they were using PVC to hang rock. Its a good idea. I was just wondering if any of you guys have done it and offer some info/advice. Thanks

i was talkin with my friend who works there and he was telling me how they hang it. Its like a big T formation. The top of the T is outside the tank, using its two arms its pretty much teh support for the structure. For the long vertical part of teh T they drill holes through the pipe. Using long zip ties they fasten the rock to the PVC. Its looks great, butkinda hard to describe. Lemme know if that made no sense :).

I've used PVC pipes to set my rocks on before. It's a great idea to save money. Don't need as much rock to build up the landscape. As far as hanging rocks, I havn't seen that yet.

That is an interesting concept. The only thing that I would worry about is the water level due to evaporation. Some of the rock could be exposed to air between topoffs and could result in a die off of the LR.
I like the look of rock stacked up high against the back glass. This would be a way to show that effect without having to have a wide base of rock at the bottom.
How do they attach the PVC to the tank?

thats basically what Im talking about. I drew up a great example but it wasnt able to be uploaded due to its size. But that covers all bases!! Thanks. It looks great and allows for great water flow through the back of the rock work.
