Happening In North Carolina

All I see is people from up North or from way down south. Someone lead the blind to where everything is around N.C. I want to know about some frag shows, trading, and even LFS in the triad and surrounding areas! I want some coral!!!!

I live in Raleigh NC. I'm upgrading to a 125 RR tank and lights to be able to keep corals and will be just getting into this side of the hobby. It will be 3 months until my tank is up and ready but I'd also like to know if there are ever any shows in the area or whatever. Thanks.

What part of NC are you from? I am from Charlotte, but I'm at college in Raleigh, and I can tell you that Raleigh has far more and much better fish stores than Charlotte. Several stores in the Raleigh area setup frag swaps once a month or so. Check out "downundersaltwaterdotcom"

I am in Asheboro, so I guess you run by here all the time!!! I go to Greensboro for all my buying but the have just a little of what I want. I want to get into some frag swaps and even buying frags are fine with me. They will grow.

I am downgrading my 104 gallons to a 30 gallon hex. I have some things for trade (or sale) if you guys are interested. I live in Farmville ~50 minutes east of Raleigh.

I have a 48" T5 324 Watt light that I am getting rid of.
I also have a 65 gallon coralife skimmer.
A HOB overflow, 29 gallon partitioned sump, pumps etc...
Let me know if you are interested!

Why are you getting rid of your T5 light?

Slowburn,
I know of a couple fish stores in Jacksonville that stock saltwater fish. You in the Corps? I'm at 8th Comm Bn. I have been doing the saltwater thing for a few years now, I have a pretty nice 72 bow front. Do you have your system up and running already? If not I can maybe give you some advice to avoid some of the mistakes I made as a newbie. Email me at beatty1821@hotmail.com or scott.a.beatty@usmc.mil and I will see if I can help you out.
