I hear that they wont touch coral bandid shrimp though.
So what would happen if you had no snails or shrimp in a reef tank?

I have read that they may eat small gobies, blennies, etc.. Reef tank invertebrates are definitely on their menu.

Dear hobbyist, I have an Australian Harlequin tusk in my 150 ,which loves krill and raw shrimp. However, I did have a coral banded shrimp, but one day I came home late, and all that was left of the coral banded shrimp were its antennae
. I dare not even put a star fish within the aquarium, if the tusk gets hungry,it will even eat snails that are in your aquarium
.

My tusk ate all inverts except for starfish and urchins and would probly eat small fish. He was also a bit of a bully.

They will eat any invert or small fish they can. I hope you're not thinking of putting on into your 46 gal with the PB tang.
