Has anyone ever had this type of firefish?

I'm looking for different stuff for my new 26gal tank. I haven't ever seen one of these guys at any lfs but i'm sure they could probably get one for a price. Just wondering if their requirements are similar to the other two normally sold.

The Helfrichi's Firefish is also known as the Helfrich's Dartfish, or Helfrich's Firefish. The head is distinctly yellow with a purple forehead, and the body is varying shades of purple and white.
It requires a 30 gallon or larger aquarium with plenty of loose coral rubble as part of the aquascape, and a tight-fitting lid to prevent it from jumping out of the tank. It will rarely become aggressive towards other fish, but is territorial, and will fight with its own kind unless they are a mated pair.
The Helfrichi's Firefish will feed mostly on prey suspended in the water column, but will pick food off the substrate. Its diet should vary between chopped or shaved seafood, vitamin-enriched brine shrimp, and mysid shrimp.
Minimum Tank Size: 30 gallons
Care Level: Easy
Tank Conditions: 72-78°F; sg 1.020-1.025; pH 8.1-8.4
Temperament: Peaceful
Max. Size In Aquarium: Up to 2½"
Reef Compatible: Yes
Diet: Carnivore
Compatibility: View Chart
Origin: Indo-Pacific
Family: Gobiidae
There you go HTH

the lfs doesn't currently have one but in talking with them all i need to do is let them know what i'm looking for and they would try to get a hold of it. I didn't even bother to ask yet because i know the price would be too much. I'll probably stick with the a purple firefish..

Well the lfs that i could probably get to order it has had numerous blue spotted jawfish. They have always had "hold for Mr. Smith" or whomever it was for. I take it they don't get them unless one of the customers requests it. Another fish that is not often found at lfs is the black cap basslet. (at least i haven't seen them anywhere). I've seen about 4 or 5 of them there also. If i was that serious about that fish I might get it but knowing that the price will probably be that high i don't want to waste it on a fish that will most likely jump out of my tank. I just am not able to close off the back of the tank.

helfrichi, not quite the same thing
although both are beautiful and expensive fishes. The helfrichis firefish is, IMO, very expensive, and I too have yet to see it much under 200 either.
They are much like any firefish, but rare and expensive, os many or us would not have seen them.
Now, just like any other fire fish, tehy are jumpers but are easy to keep in most cases.

That is an awsome firefish and I never saw that one before, but too expensive. Dont most firefish hide in the rockwork anyways?

depends on the other inhabitants, IMO, the cna be very skiddish, esp if there is anything that may pick on them
