Has anyone ever seen this before???

This a rough AutoCAD drawing of something that was on the back glass of the old 55 gallon tank. There were seven spots of whatever this is.
I couldn't get a good pic but it is almost purple in color and looks just like the drawing I have attached.
ID anyone?

How was it attached to the glass? Is it flat and etched on a mylar like substance or is it more like capillary lines?

It was flat and looked like someone had painted it on or something.
What was weird is that each line was the exact same length as the one below it.

Well, I don't have the slightest notion what that is. Painted on, huh?

I can tell you this though, if you stare at it long enough it makes your eyes crazy!

Is this tank from San Francisco, maybe from the mid 60"s, cause I think I saw stuff like that once
