has anyone had one of these before?

hey, i was curious if anyone had good luck with a royal gama. i bought one the other day and the thing died on me in two days!! he ate great at the store and home, my water is fine, what happened. are these pretty delicate fish? just curious on anyones opinion.

my friend has had one for a longtime and he isnt best maintainer of aquarium so maybe yours was a bad fish

They are normally hardy fish. Sometimes things like this just happen for no apparent reason.
They are great fish to have if you provide them with a hiding spot.
I would double check my tank, make sure everything is ok, make sure there is a place for the fish to hide and try another one.

thanks for ur info, i am going to try again. they are such beautiful little fish. as for acclimating him to my aquarium, i did what i've always done with my butterflys, etc.... what do u guys do to prepare ur fish for ur aquariums? the only other fish i had in the tank was a small damsel which didn't really pay any attention to him at all...
