HI there,
Firstly, please get a QT. They are essential piece of equipment just like your skimmer or steriliser or cannister. It is very cheap to set up and invaluable if you value your fish.
But, lets deal with the issue in hand for now.
Yes I have used Kent's RX-P but I did not use it following the instructions. When I used it is did work, but to prove that it did not work permanently my fish have redeveloped Ich about 3 months later, but now I have a QT and I am performing hypo. So it may work in the interim but not permanently, if at all.
As I said I didnt follow the instructions because I spoke to the Marine Biologist in head of European Operations at Kent Marine Inc. (dont ask how i got his cellphone number, lol). Basically do this: Day 1: One dose of RX-P (as on bottle), Day 2:One Dose of Poly-Ox Day 3: Rest! You must have your skimmer on at all times. Basically RX-P contains pepper extracts which naturally irritate the fish (which is intended - but not nice), so on day 2 remove that by Poly-Ox, a natural freshwater plant extract that will sooth and heal. You might need to do it twice to catch the blighters on the fish, I did.
As I said worked for me, although I may have been lucky. I would always recommend Hypo and QT over this but faced how you are now, this is what I would do.
Garlic does help, its like a vitamin supplement and Ich is a natural repellent to garlic. So it may help, but as I said, prevention is better than cure.
Please seriously consider a QT.
All the best,
Tim.

LOL Hi Terry I think we posted at same time...geez what time is it where you are?!? Its 9:40am here in England!

To questions:
First, if one has a QT tank, why wouldn't you just use copper? It seems a lot easier than hypo.
Second, can seahorses take copper? I do have a 30 gallon set up in my kids room. It is divided in half. I recently moved its only inhabitant, a lunare wrasse, back in to my main tank. It is now empty, but, I have promised my kids to get them a seahorse on one side and some little fish on the other. I do not plan on putting inverts in, but, can I put a seahorse after copper? If so, I can use it a hospital tank.
