how do you create a fuge. i have a 29 biocube and i hear alot about changing the middle compartment into a fuge. Is it hard? how do you do it?

its very easy... all u do if take all the bioballs out and the create close to the bottom and put like a 3" sand bed in there and add some LR and cheato and a little clamp on light over the top or scratch off the black paint on the back and and put the light there

Ok im sorry what does that do. I just have my 29 Oceanic biocube cycling for the past couple of days. Im making mines a reef my LFS has the same one and i looked in their cube and it still has the bioballs they just have an extra filter laying over the drip tray. Im just curious if its beneficial to a healthier reef tank than i would rather do that. So take out the balls and bottom crate what about the water pump in the 3rd chamber wouldnt that suck up the sand?

theres a sponge in the middle of the 2nd and 3rd chamber.. and have a fuge will help alot with nitrite and nitrates i think its just alot better filter then bioballs
