I have no experince with them but I do have a piece of Florida Aquacultured live rock and I can tell you that for a small piece of rock it is extremely heavy. They are no that pourus. The one piece that I do have though came with an anenomie, some kind of small looking brain coral and various other sponges. Its quality rock but you just don't get that much for the price b/c it is so dense and heavy.

well this is what I was thinking - it is definitely cheaper to go with them.
And I do remember from 6 years ago (last time I kept a reef tank) that the rock is heavier - but the opposite argument is Fiji isnt really rock and doesnt contain much life. Just its an all at once cost versus trickle of 10-20 pounds of rock at a time.
I am also wondering whether I REALLY need 110 blue legged hermits. Seems extreme. I was thinking I would like a mix of red and blue.
And with this invert package - how will this effect adding others later - coral banded shrimp - another serpent star - arrow crab...
I have never had a cumcumber. Whats that like?

I have some of both...and I much perfer the south pacific rock. The aqua cultured is ok but the life isn't that great in my opinion.
Actually I prefer Marshall Island which has some great shapes in my opinion.
110 crabs of any kind seems silly to me, but I'm anti-crab.
What size is your tank?
If I was going to set up a clean up crew I'd look for snails, conch, cucumbers and maybe urchins if you have a hair algae problem.
Hermits are not considered DSB safe.
