Has anyone successfully kept a Spotted,Flame or Longnose Hawk with a scarlet Cleaner Shrimp? I'd like to get both, but am unsure of their compatibility.

I've had two cleaner shrimp and a longnose hawkfish in my 75g for the past year. The fish never even looks at the shrimp. I think the trick is to put the hawkfish after the shrimp have become established.

I have a flame hawk and he killed a cbs within hours of putting him in the tank. The cbs was in the tank for over a year. From what I have heard it is a crap shoot. Good Luck

Not a good idea. You'll always hear stories that are exceptions, but...

once the hawk gets big enough, or hungry enough, its bye-bye shrimp. some have done it though. maybe if you get the biggest shrimp and the smallest hawk it could work, but i really think its not a good idea for the shrimps sake. bo
