Hawky diet

i have a red spotted hawk and i feed him a lot of zooplankton and a blend of flake foods. is there anything else i should give him cuz he seems to want food all the time. hes alsways perched on a rock staring at the surface, well not always but ya know. wats good diet for a hawk without any restraints or budget?

I feed mine Mysid shrimp.

A hawk fish will eat almost anything you feed it. mine likes larger pieces of food. one of his favorites is "angel formula" food for sponge eating angel fish.

Hawks to me are like oscars. They "always" look hungry. Try to avoid the temptation to overfeed. They're ominivore's so they'll take about anything. I feed ours prime reef flake and a couple of silversides every couple of days.
Great fish with loads of personality.
