Here's him looking good.
And the second pic is what he looks like today. He shrivles or closes like everyone else at night but sometimes all day long he will never extend. Everything has been stable and I have had him about a month. He will be great one day and then the next two never open. Is this normal for them?

It seems fairly close to your toadstool leather. I have heard that leathers can play some very strong chemical war fare on other corals. Your toadstool leathers looks close enough that it could be stinging it. Other questions would be what kind of lighting you have, size of tank, and what kind of circulation (gph) and filtration.

Also he is up pretty high in the tank is that ok? It's so weird cause it's not like he's dying and hasn't opened in forever and looks bad. It's just he doesn't open as much as I thought they do or should. I figured he would open everyday the lights are on like the rest do.
