Can some of you give me some ideas on what fish food is good for the fish while at the same time is less polutant for the tank? I have a blue tang,a saebae clownfish,a percula clown,a coral beauty angel, and a blue damsel. I want to feed them a food that is healty for them while keeping as much pollutants out of the tank as possible, phosphates and ect. Also how often would you say you should feed these fish and how much.

How big is your tank? I feed my fish once a day. Sometimes twice a day, but small portions. One important thing is to vary your foods. You can try flakes, pellets, brine shrimp, frozen foods, even vegetables. Just make sure you don't over-feed. Also, get a clean up crew as they will eat the left overs.

I use a alternating combination of the following
several types of flake
frozen brine/mysis/prime reef/silver sides/krill/plankton
occassional fresh sea food
dt's phytoplankton
formulas 1&2
frozen spirunela
seaweed selects
most foods are soaked in zoe prior to feeding
I think it important to offer a varied diet...one that meets the requirements of all the critters in your ststem
