Which compartment would be best for putting a small heater? I would imagine the one on the left. Sorry if this is a noob question, but I am a noob at this, 2 hours and counting.
Thanks in advance,
Chris

OK its not the left compartment, I just turned on the motor / power head and that compartment drains. The heater won't fit in the other two sections and I thought I bought the smallest heater at Jacks Aquarium (a chain) per the salesperson.

i have a 29 and i put it in compartment 1...remember only the part that heats up needs to be submerged...the more the better, how long is your heater, and how deep is the compartment?

The heater is 11" long and I thought it was the smallest one the store. After more more site surfing I see there may be a 9" variety. Anyone know a brand name for 9" heaters?

Mine is 6" long and its a 100w made for 30g tanks. Its in my 12g aquapod and keeps it nice and warm. theres an even smaller one but it wasnt keeping my tank warm enough. it was rated for a 10g but the lfs said it would do.. it didnt. Its the Tetra Submersible Heater BTW.
