need advise on a good heater ive tried several brands none seem to last long are titianium style any good

A metal halide fixture is as good a heater as any

I used an All glass and it was quite reliable.

heat from the lights is not the problem its the drop in temp at nite tank gets to be as low as 74 at in the winter months stays at 78 all summer

I've always been a big fan of Ebo Jaeger heaters... I used them for many years, until I got into saltwater actually and they had came out with the Stealth heaters. I like the stealth heaters, they maintain temp, auto shutoff when pulled from the water, and its black so it blends into my black background. They only thing I dont like is that they do not have a function light, so I dont know when its actually running or not for that matter.
