I'm Brand New to the Saltwater Game and a Buddy of mine told me to join a few Message Boards for suggestions and help as I go. We went shopping for a few things this week and I've decided to go with a 20 Gallon Tank. My buddy also said that i should post in the Nano section of the boards because of my tank size, I guess that means it's little huh? Anyways I'll start a new Post as I get my stuff together.. I look forward to all your input and Criticisms, go easy I'm brand new!

Welcome to SWF!
It's an awesome forum with a lot of intelligent people with great advise. Good luck with your new hobby. It's a blast! I'm new myself and have had my tank up and running for approx. 2 months.
Check out the "New Hobbyist" section. There is a lot of tips and advise for beginners. Also the search utility above is going to be your bestfriend!
Again, welcome to the forums, and good luck!

Salty,
Just some advise. When I first thought about getting into this hobby I thought I was crazy. I had no idea where to begin, what to buy, etc. I did some random "googling" and ended up on this site! What a relief that was!
If I can tell you anything worthy, it's this...Take your time, FOLLOW the beginning steps like cycling etc. and you will be fine. Test your parameters daily, and you'll see the cycle do it's thing. I remember when I added my first two fish (Clowns) I literally got chills after I drip acclimated them and added them to my tank. Right when they swam out of my net, it sent chills down my spine.
That may sound weird, but I was so excited that I had created a foundation the correct way for these guys to live in. And as of today they are happy as can be.
Ask questions, if I can give you any advise I will. But there are a lot of more experienced people than me on here!

I always always wanted a sw aquarium and finally did it and also ended up here. You may think that it is easy and effortless to keep things alive but it is like any other pet and needs attention and care. But, people here have a lot of good advice!
And, I knew this hobby was expensive and was told that it was but that was an understatement
For my 14 biocube, the stand, live rock, live sand, supplies, mods, and finally fish, it has costed me about 600-750 bucks! So, for a 20 I would expect you to spend a grand or more

Thanks Guys I feel welcome already.. Trust me I have heard from my Buddy how expensive this hobby gets.. I've seen him get excited over paying $60 for a Freakin Rock... I also know that I can't rush..
Here's what I have Purchased so far:
20 Gallon Tall Aqueon Tank
AquaClear 110 Filter - (My buddy suggested this due to the fact that I'm not going to be running a Sump, and he says he can make it into a Refuge)
(1) Korilia 1 - Probably going to pick up another oine of these this week.
I haven't decided on running the tank with sand or not yet, my friend says it's all a matter of opinion but that everyone has arguments on the matter both ways..
My next Purchase is going to be the Live Rock and Sand if I go that route. That way I can at least get the Cycle going while I decide on the skimmer (leaning toward the Aqua C Remora right now) and Lighting. My friend is pushing me to go with a 150/250W Metal Halide with T-5 supplements.

NO 150/250W Metal Halide with T-5 supplements!
the Sunpod 150w is fine!
and get sand and LR to start this tank ready! and skimmer? who needs a skimmer when theres a miracle of Water changes!
no really i do not like skimmers. and my 95g dont have a skimmer. it sucks up the coral food and such.
but everything else!
