Hello do you let frozen food thaw?

Ok this may be very stupid but i bought some formula one frozen food today. my question is do you let it thaw or just throw it in the tank for everyone to bite at?

i usually put it in a glass of fresh water and give it 30 min... however on the rare ocassion i am in a hurry i have just dropped it in the tank... but usuall in the glass

The best method for any frozen foods is to thaw them in the refrigerator.

I usually put the frozen foods in a cup of tankwater, stir it up, then add it in the tank.

Doesn't it break apart and just fly all over the tank?

I put my frozen cube in a tiny medicine dosage cup, and dip, drain, dip, drain etc...into the tank.
I have a wavemaker to turn off the PH's so it doesn't fly all over the tank.

yes it breaks ip.. but cleanup crew makes quick work of any that drops
