Well, read some posts here. start with a few books, and theAchives
You'll need sand, live rock, and salt of course. A heater, a temp thinkie, power head, net, test kits. Patiences and knowledge.
Ask before buying, and always, always get a second opinon untill you KNOW you can trust your lfs.
Cycle your tank before adding fish, add slowly, research and plan.

i agree with some of this ^ but you said you wanted a FO (fish only) which means you won't have to buy live rock, it's recomended because it's very natural looking and is a biological filter. a net is not recomended becasue it will damage the stress coat on the fish.

Only said net in case you have a to catch a fish to remove him from the tank.
No one has to use lr, but it will help in filtration and give fish/inverts places to hide and play.
