Im not a structural engineer so
Heres my project and problem I have a standard 90 and was trying to put a twenty underneath problem is its not fitting do to being 5 1/2 in from wall and will not go in sideways can the center post be removed temporarily to get this to go in ...

I don't think anyone is going to suggest doing that... just too risky imho.
Your 90 gallon tank probably weighs in at 800+ pounds.

You might try asking in the DIY forum. There might be some folks there who can suggest plans on building your own sump under the cabinet.

put om side in one door and push it back till the other en goes thorugh the hole in the back of the stand then pull it underneath
