help anemone caught in power head

When I woke up this morning, one of my anemones was caught in the intake to the power head. This power head is connected to the uv sterilizer. I can't seem to find any way to get it out. I did unplug and released it a little, but not enough to get it out. Any help would be appreciated.

Try your best to pull him out slowly. if they loose some of there tenticles they will grow back. take time and care with this one.

You can also just leave it unplugged till he comes out on his own if you cant pull it out.Look closly for any dammage to it's foot or base. These type of injuries can be fatal.

Hey guys,
Thanks for the info. I tried to pull him out, but he seemed like he wanted to go into the strainer even farther. I took the strainer part off, and replaced it. I put the anemone and strainer at the bottom of the tank, hoping he will remove himself. Thanks again for the information.

Don't you just hate that. Mine were doing that all the time. I don't have that problem anymore since I switched to an empiror 280 and the intake has smaller holes. But, when I had the other type, I did the same thing you did and that worked fine. I only lost one that way.
