Ok so this is my second ricordea i have purchashed. The first one got lost in the tank and dont know what happened. I had just placed it on a rock thinking it would attach but i guess it floated away. So i have gotten another one and placed a rubberband around it. Can someone tell me if it is too tight on the mushroom or what ? It is in bottom corner of pic. Thanks if someone can help me out.

that's probably too tight. you'll probably cut right through it. there a re a few things you can try that work well for a lot of people.
1. you can use bridal veil mesh. place it over the ric, and around the rock. secure it with a rubber band, not squishing the ric. usually takes 1-2 weeks.
2. you can place it in a shallow bowl with lr rubble or sand in a very low flow area of your tank and let it attach to the substrate naturally, then glue that whereever you want. again, usually takes 1-2 weeks.
3. stuff it in a hole, and let it attach on its own. again make sure its in a low flow area. and again, 1-2 weeks.
