HELP!!! Black bubbles & white creatures

My tank has recently begun sprouting black bubble type organisms on my tubastrea and the live rock. What is it? Is it harmful? How do I get rid of it? Also, my skimmer became infested with white slug-like creatures. Same questions as above. Anyone? Anyone?

My skimmer grew sea squirts a white transparent looking tube -- they started restricting the current so I just took my skimmer apart and cleaned them out. :)

Do these black bubbles look like shiney metalic marbles???If so I think you have BUBBLE ALGAE. This stuff will quickly take over your tank. You can get a few emrald crabs, they love to eat this algae. The other bugs could be anything, wish I could be more help there. It's just hard to guess these things without seeing them.

Yes, they are shiny black metallic looking bubbles. I'll invest in some emerald crabs this weekend. Thanks for the info. :D

emerald crabs have special rounded claws that are perfect for bubble algae. They really go to town on the stuff.
Good Luck
