hate to do this, but I must answer your question with a question
What do you intend to keep in the tank?
Which fish, Which if any inverts and corals. MOst say 78 to 82(norm for ost fishes), but there are some which have different needs. Like the catalina gobies, they should be in the high 60's

WOW....WHOAAAAAAAA.....
Scared the heck out of me and I ain't scared of much.....
You are setting up a new tank....and your fish are in a bucket...and you want to know what the temp of the water in the new tank should be......
I'd be more concerned about letting the new tank cycle and become stable before I got too concerned about temp. But temp for a typical reef system would range from 78-82 degrees.
How large of a new tank are you developing and what exactly do you have in the "bucket"?
