Help! Broken Hydrometer

I came home for lunch today and noticed that my hydrometer is broken...laying sideways in the water!! I got the small glass pieces that I could...but in the process of getting the little balls...well, they just got stirred into the sand!

Has this happened to anyone before and is my tank going to be OKAY??? Only had it up about 8 weeks....2 clowns and a goby plus a large assortment of snails, crabs and shrimp.
Anyone??

i'd just scoop out half the tank sand and spend $20 on another bag.

future deaths aren't worth it, i may have actually taken all the sand out if it was me. is it in your rock? in that case i'd roll it in a light concrete solution that you'd make normally.
heck just deliver it to landrees, they don't care!

Yep, those are usually lead, you really need to get that out. Things in your tank can absorb it and become poisonous forever.

Yes Jojo..I was keeping it in my DT...I am new to this hobby and I didn't even consider it breaking!!!
Anyway, thanks for all the comments...I did scoop out all the sand in that area and I don't see anymore of the little balls!
Again, thanks for all the suggestions
