Help! Carpet Anemone problems

Well I just got a yellow carpet anemone about 4 days ago. He did well for about 2 days and even ate some silversides. About day 3 I noticed that his mouth stayed open for long periods of time. Then my false percs started nipping at his mouth but didn't appear to actually bite anything. Today the same thing happened. I am not sure what is going on. Is this normal behavior after first being introduced? Here are my water parameters..
55 gal
2x175MH w/ 2x65 actin
temp 78
sal 37
pH 8.0
trites 0
trates 0
ammo 0
phos 0
I've added a photo although it is hard to get a good image since he has attached to the front glass in the right bottom. Any help would be appreciated!
BTW the pic was taken after the MH had shut off

whats your calcium and alk? PH seems a little low for the lights just being turned off. It should be almost at its highest.

the alk is real low btw. I would try to get it up to 9 if possible. It should be balanced out with calcium. My anemone did some funky things when i first put him in the tank. It took about a week to look somewhat normal. I would however definitly work on getting that alk up.

hard to tell but i dont think so. looks like he still has color. his mouth is defintly wide open and it does not look good. whether or not he is dead I think he is gone.
