Help dying leather

I have a finger leather that is beautiful, its usually open and very full. The last 3 days it has looked like its withering, or its almost melting. Its not open and full. My water tested out perfect, and no drastic changes than normal. The only thing I have done with the leather is move it from the top of my rock pyle to the bottom off to the side. I run (4) 4 ft vho's and 1 400watt MH. so there is plenty of light at the bottom side. No other corals or leathers appear sick or withered. Anyone know whats up? I guess it is possible a leather can get sick also right? thanks for any suggestions or experiences.

is the water flow any different where he is now from where he was before? have you tried putting him where he was to see if he would perk up?

Any coral IME when subjected to change can potentially go through a re-acclimation period. When you moved it from the top of the rock pile to the bottom you changed the enviornment it was used to...ie less light and different current.
You said it looked like it was "almost melting", IF it is just closed up tight and NOT deteriorating then I would suggest just leaving it alone. Give it some more time to adjust to the new conditions.
IF it starts to deteriorate put in in a moderate to high current area of your tank and keep the water as good as you can get it.
How is the rest of your livestock doing ?

Sif,
the current was higher and the lighting was more intense at the top of the rock pyle. I have put him back up top to see if it makes any change. All my other corals are doing excellent, and so are my fish. Thats what was wierd. I tested my water but it was right where it was supposed to be at. it doesnt appear to be melting, just closed up. I have a huge colt, probally over a foot tall when its open, and he is doing great. I dunno...
thanks for the help ill keep you posted.

The best thing to do is put it where you want it and leave it alone :)
Sounds like it is just reacclimating. Just give it some time and it should be OK.
