i got this ricordea a few weeks ago and has been going relatively fine. its never been open completely. recently it started getting these... i guess you would call them folds of skin. and the little bubbles on them started shrinking now theres a spot where its almost no bubbles. any ideas???

What have you been testing since you noticed the change, what do you test or check?
Are you frying it with the MHs

i test nitrates nitrites alkalinity ph ammonia and i dont keep the mh's on for that long. only like 2 to 3 hours a day because i dont have anything to raise them above the tank yet i have 4 layers of egg crate blocking it though. im almost positive the ric is about to kick it.

1.024 sg temp is 78F and it was a decent flow the ric is in the middle so its not too strong or too weak

i highly doubt it would be splitting. its lost almost all of its color. ive basically given up on it. i dont think it will live.
