HELP! Eel attacking Eel

From the reading I have done and people I have asked, I thought that mixing the smaller Morays would be fine. A guy was breaking down his tank and had a snowflake he was just giving away. So I take it a put it into my tank. Bad Idea. My snowflake, which is probably 4 or 5 times bigger, was chasing it all over the tank once it saw it. I thought for sure the little one was a goner but I knew there wasn't too much I could do in the middle of the night. Today the little guy is still alive and seems to be acting normally. Unfortunately, the big eel grabbed ahold of him a few times and he has a few flesh wounds. I saw him get him a couple times and the last time he let go and swam back to his lair. I fed the big eel until he wouldn't eat anymore, so it does not seem like it is a hunger issue.
Do you think this was just an exertion of dominance and the bigger eel was setting up its territory or do you think the little guy is doomed?
It would be a hell of an undertaking to try to get the smaller eel out of the tank and it would probably end up trying to hide from the net inside the big eels cave and that certainly wouldn't be good.
what should i do here?

Well one major thing you need to think about for Eels and lots of other saltwater things is space. eels are very territorial and and depending on the tank size the bigger eel may consider the whole tank his territory. So question #l. How big is your tanks. From my experience it is generally not a good idea to keep two preditorial things in the same tank(IMO) especially when there is that big of a size difference.

Nah. I defiantly want to keep my original. No fighting so far today. They are both keeping on opposite sides of the tank. I am going to keep watching and see what happens today. If the big one goes after him again I guess I will take out the little and bring it to the LFS. What a pain
