help firefish please?

i bought a firefish with one white dot on it that looks like ick or a single parasite. it has been in a hospital tank for 3 weeks with no change in condition. do you tink its safe to put in reef?

We've got firefish too. They occasionally get a white spot that's larger than ick. It looks more like velvet on the fish. It's an injury and goes away on it's own. They can get injured when they jump or dive into hiding places. It doesn't look like ick though. We're still pretty new at this so someone else may have more information.
