help fish are dying!

I have a clown fish and it keep floating to the top like its gulping for air. What is wrong with him? Also my tank is really cloudy white. It was fine until I changed the filter out in my filteration system. I changed the water out and it did no good. I heard that it could be a bacteria bloom so I purchased items to get rid of it and it does no good. What should I do? I dont want to change the water out everyday, I heard it isnt good. I changed out 20 percent.

do you have a sick tank to put them in? if it is a bloom i have read it will kill fish fast. i would get them out and do water changes.

whats the difference between a bio filter and a carbon filter? I have 2 filters and the both have carbon in it. The fish seem to be doing ok now. Its just really cloudy. If I do a full water change do I need to remove the fish and change the water then let it sit for a month, before I can put the fish back in?

You can do a substantial water change wo draining your tank completely or removing the fish.
Are or have you used any additives in this tank? Are you using calcium? Calcium can cloud the water.

I put ammolock2, stress zyme, and water clear(to remove a bacteria bloom). I will try to do a large water change. Thanks alot all of you for the help.I will keep you guys posted.
