Posted this earlier but I got no reply can anyone please help me out with this?? If you can refer me to any websites also that would be helpful as well! I have a 55 gallon tank I have been cycling for about 3 months with one of those Bio Wheel Filters. I have 2 Damsels, a Yellow Tang, and a Four Eyed Butterfly. Over the Thanksgiving holidays, I constructed a Wet Dry Filter within a long 20 gallon aquarium. I have read a little bit about fluidized bed filters. I was just wondering what your guys opinion are on them and if you have design plans on how to connect one inline with my wet/dry sump. I was thinking there is enough water pressure on the intake line to run it. I have an overflow box for the intake and then a 500gph return pump for the outake. I have read lots of good things about the biological filtration aspect but I was wondering what you guys think. Also, I want to add a protein skimmer into my sump, any good suggestions? I don't want to spend a lot of money but then again would rather spend money on something quality rather than get something cheap. I plan on upgrading my tank in about a year to 125 gallon and would prefer to buy as little new equipment as possible.
