I know I am not in the same league as most of you are but I would like to keep some simple soft corals if possible any suggestions

i found that toadstools, mushrooms, cabbage will survive under that type of lighting. When you're ready you should either get MH or t5's or vho's if you decide to get other types of corals.
just my 2 cents

Pretty much all soft corals you can take on with your lights.. Some will need to be placed higher up towards the light and some you can have on the bottom. Depending on which ones you decided on flow will play a big part in the health of the coral too. Good luck

Mushrooms are good because they can survive under just regular aquarium bulbs thought there colors arent as prominent. They are also money savers because they feed themselves for the most part.

Zoanthids would be fine with that lighting and come in all kinds of colors and morphs. If you start collecting them, you may become addicted to them like I did!
