HELP for my school project!!!!!

I am designing a ALGAE TRAPPER using a divided plexiglass box with screen to trap the algae.
The unit is similar to a shoe box with inflow and out flow and light fixture. My INSTRUCTOR needs a valid resource to show him like an actual design that existed in the market.
I've done my research and all I see is UV sterilizer to minimize the algae in the tank. PLEASE HELP if any of you got an IDEA how to get the resource.
I heard they actually sell this thing in the market but I haven't found one.
SO PLEASE HELP TO FIND THE RESOURCE out there.

I have never heard of an "algae trap" before...But what you describe sounds alot like a REFUGIUM..
It doesn'tactually trapalgae,but gives it a perfect enviroment for algae to grow,hopefull discouraging it from growing in your main tank...
I have had one setupfor over a year,and works great...
