it perfect just no that u will have to some live food (hermits, snail and crabs)
pplus a place to hide (a peice of pvc works great) other wise you'll have some molting problems also put some tiny peices of live rock they like to shut them selves in the dark when they molt( don't worry about them hideing all the time they are very open inverts and smart) so good luck with your first mantis

Sorry to tag along but I was wondering if either of you knew of a mantis that would eat frozen foods? I'm not squeamish, I keep several snakes but I feed them frozen as well, I just don't care to watch things die.
also: Hi fellow BC-er :)

as long as you can get it to move such as on a stick they will attack anything silversides shrimp ect
and draconis he is going in a 25 acrylic I am getting on the boards here
kinda scared ordered from stomatopod and asked them to wait until I let them know
ordered him yesterday morning and low and behold the little bugger was on my steps this morning krimped my plans a little threw him in my 55 fuge whats the first thing he does runs to the corner of the tank whack whack whack so I had to get the net out and chase him into the pvc burrow now we are ok I think
any way one this size could break a 55?
as far as reef yeh I guess I am gonna throw my nuisance kenya trees in there
I have a 125 and a 55 reef

That's a she.....
Naw.... she won't break a 55. But make sure they have stuff to break up.
I put frozen food stuffed in shells with mine so he can exercise to break them open, so to speak.

Females are typically olive to brown..... I'm sure there are exceotions though.... or maybe it is a very loose --- ID thing.
