I service a couple tanks for some customers and alot of there tanks have alot of green hair algae growing all over the place. What can I do to get rid of this algae other then Rock bleenys and Tangs? Any Chemicals Or Products out there for this bad bad algae. I know Chemi-Clean can take care of Red Slime Algae but what for Green hair algae?!?!? :help:

Chemiclean will not work. It is actually an antibiotic used for bacterial infections. Red Slime algae is actually a bacteria - cyanobacteria.
Copper will work but can be toxic to most of the life in the tank, including the fish.
Biologic control is your best bet. Introduce some snails (perhaps stomatella snails which will reproduce), emerald crabs, and similar invertebrates. A foxface is another type of fish which will also do a nice job.
The final solutions are to eliminate whatever is stimulating the algae growth. RO water will help. Do all the usual things to lower nitrates which is fertilizer for algae. Change lightbulbs to higher intensity. Decrease the photoperiod. Decrease overfeeding.
