All fish go through a period of acclimation when they are put into a new tank. This could take as long as a couple of weeks before normal behavior reappears. This period of adjustment can be very stressfull to your fish.If you have not already, you should read the series on fish stress at the top of this page...Another possible cause for this behavior would be poor water quality,or something else that is diferent in your tank than the one they were in...How old is your tank??? What are the water readings??? Is this tank in the cycle???What other fish are in the tank with these guys???

these guys are the only ones in the tank.
the tank is over 2 months old. it has fully cycled. the ammonia is 0 the, ph is 8.0, nitrite is 0 and nitrate is 10. they are the first fish in the tank.

I don't see any obvious problems with the setup then...Could just be that adjustment thing like I was saying.I also notised that you were reading the STRESS thread. It's a little long winded, but alot of good info in there.Keep an eye out for stress.Keep the lights low/off a little more than usual, and keep a close eye on them..They will probably be ok.

Hey,
The only thing I would add is too be careful and not overfeed the fish. If they don't eat the stuff it'll just pollute the water. Fish can go several days without eating so don't fret that.
