Hi all: have a beautiful 2 1/2 inch Juvenile HTang, got from LFS (extremely reputable) about a week ago.
Tang WONT eat: tried: Mysis, Frozen reef mix, Formula 1 + 2, hanging seaweed, pellets
90g Bow, water params all fine
In tank with:
Leopard Blenny
Pair O. Clowns
Flame Hawk (acclimated same day as HT - doing GREAT)
Long Nose Hawk
small Purple T.
med Sailfin T
Foxface
LFS does copper. Acclimation: fast dripped for 1hr, then slow stream for another 45 min.
IDEAS?
BTW: I did loose 2 pygmy angels from that LFS a few weeks back (thought it was a one time only!...I loose this HT and I will never go back!!!
)
thanks!

The small tang has quite a bit of competition for food. I would say to try some live brine or ghost shrimp, but I doubt he will get it before the others do. Do you have a quarantine tank that you can put him into so that he can be by himself without competition? If not then try clipping some seaweed close to where he hangs out in the tank, if he has a favorite spot.

I will grab some live Brine t'mrow...
I can try to grab a piece of Sweed and rubber band it to a rock near his hole...good idea.
No Quarantine tank (my bad!) Also, (my bad!) should've seen him eat in the LFS!!!!

thanks much for the ideas!

Try soaking something in garlic, I never would have belived it enticed fish to eat if I didnt just use it to get my new coral beauty to eat. I have since been soaking all food in it for the immune system benifits.
