Hi!
I have run across a very bad time to not have a digital camera!
I have to get it developed!
I have a tank that has been set up for almost 2 years without many problems. I have live rock that is sprouting a lot of new things (how does this stuff just GROW when you don't put it in)? So far when I ask, these have all been good,
BUT ALL OF A SUDDEN
I have about 2000 little teeny tiny white worms?? ALL over my tank. I mean ALL over EVERYTHING!
My live rock is probably from 5% to 35% covered, depending on the rock and location. It either started on my gray rock, or likes that one the best in comparison to the red and white.
They are all white, possibly with a small tuft or very small legs or antennas on one end. They are all in the shape of a spiral and vary in size from smaller than a grain of sand to 1/8" curled up. They look like they would be about 1/4" stretched out (the biggest ones). What are these???? How do I get rid of them? this all occurred in no more than 36 hours at the longest.
I have not bought a fish for about a month.
I have two starfish, one is semi-buried and the other keeps racing up the glass toward the top and falling. My sea urchin is eating them...I think. I have crabs and snails as well.
Oddly enough I just put my fish in QT a three days ago because one had a white film that was more visible whenever I turned my UV off. It's off now and has been since I took my fish out.
My levels are:
Salinity is 32.5 which is a bit high for my tank (usually 31-32)
ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 15
PH 8.2
Temp 80
I am scheduled to change my water tomorrow, so any suggestions would be great!:
Please help! I have been surfing forever looking for these and cannot find a marine worm picture like this. I hope they're not larve!:scared:
Thanks in advance!
Talia
