Ok today i noticed some weird big whitish spots on my hippo tang. Lately he has been scrapping against things itching, so im guessing its ich. My question is will the copper kill my feather duster or should i remove the duster??

as far as doing copper you will then never be able to put the feather duster back in the tank seperating the tang and a freshwater dip should help but wait for someone more knowledgable to tell you

You can not use copper in a tank that has, or will ever have, live rock, live sand or inverts in it.
Ick looks like salt on the fish's body and fins. Is that what your fish has?
I'd suggest that you ready a separate hospital tank.

OH BOY I WISH I WAITED!
I added the copper yesterday, ha i have Ls LR and inverts, today all the snails are off the glass and on the sand! I added a little bit of my tap water conditioner into the tank because it says will remove copper.. what should i do!!

Big water change. Though expensive you really nedda hospitle. I leave my'n set up all the time. Some people set them up as they need it.

well the tang now looks fine.. i had another tank set up so i put all of the snails and crabs in that. My question is, the makers of the copper medicine also sell somethin to take out the copper after treatment, shouldnt i use that?

Yes, use copper removal. I would also do a majar water change. If you have carbon filtration, use it as well.

Well its a 90 gall with 70 lbs LS and 80 lbs LR, today i did a 15 gal water change, and tommorow im gonna get copper removal. Do i still need to change more water? is it neccisarry?

i remembered i had a "chem-bag" or something it is called? its been in for about 2 monthes and i read the container it came in and it says it removes copper, and i tested for copper and none came up so looks like it is all gone, so where should i go from here, should i buy a little live sand to help the LS i already have?
