help !! i need skimmer set help plz

i have an octopus extreme 200 2009 ver where should the water level be at ? should the foam be at the brim of the the collection cup to overflow in to the cup? or just at the end of the top extended kneck ? i had it know for alitte over 2 weeks

never really measured that.
octo is supposed to run in 8-10 inches of water.
i tried 8 but 10 works better.
so measure up 10 inches from the bottom of the unit and thats where the level should be.
