It's a stomatella snail. And, yes, they are harmless. A good algae grazer.

also known as a cap snail. they are fine in a reef tank but they do reproduce pretty quickly. They are typically nocturnal.

How long is it?? He looks pretty big and stomatellas are small.

I had to do a close up. Its pretty small 1/2 inch. I google tomatellas and its diffinately what it is. Thanks guys. I see this badboy squirting white stuff all the time. I always thought he was polluting my DT with pottent chemicals.
