help id.... please

Hi!
This afternoon when I was watching my 2 month old tank, I saw what looked like a white wisp of smoke... coming from a piece of live rock... I looked and there was what looked like a little brown beetle, about a half inch long, no claws or anything, blowing wisps of white into the water, about 5-6 times.... it was pretty bizarre... then he disappeared back into the rock....
any ideas? Thanks.

I'm pritty sure it was stomatella (snail) and what you seen was a release of eggs into the water colum. They wont hurt anything and I belive they eat diatoms. I got them all over my tank and they do an alright job.

I searched stomatella snail and you are right! That's what it was! What a relief!!!
