Help! Lr Turning White!

Help the tips on the top of my LR is turning white!! why!?!?!
too much light possibly?!

Possibly diatoms? How long has the tank been running? When did the cycle end?

well i moved the tank on sat. it was set-up bought from someone. set up for 2 yrs before. saved all water .... replaced 20g of RO. Its 65g reef
rock was wrapped in newspaper for about 6 hrs. the lights run about 8 hrs a day.
how can i stop it from dying?

ahh how frusterating...
now my open brain coral looks a tiny bit more closed up than usual.
i was trying to take a pic of this brown stringy stuff coming out of the holes on it and it wouldn't show up on the camera through the glass. I tried to pick the coral up and it shot it out.... is it you know.. poop?? do they do that. I took it out and then took the pic. also it is on the sand in the tank does it need to be higher on the rocks... more light maybe? or is it just poop?

Yea, it died or is dyin itll come back.

ok well why didn't it die saturday... why was it fine for 4 days.

It wil deffinately come back, keep up the calcium, and alkalinity, and ph and you will be good to go. Give it more time. The move is very stressful on the rock, and inhabitants, it just needs more time to come around. If after 1 week to 10days it hasn't changed, then let us know.
I have taken a rock full of corralline out of a tank, for maybe 2 hours,(transport time) to have it do the same thing, 1 week later you couldn't tell which rock it was.

its kinda like being shot in the leg, you wont die today but if you keep bleeding youll day within a few days! best and fastest way to explain.

I had this happen when I cleaned my hob filters.. It would turn white in the course of a week and then it would come back

haha thanks paul i like it... makes sense i guess just hope it comes back... my alk can't be that far off either (I HOPE!) because the tip of the syringe is missing... i need a replacement.
