Help mantis shrimp

Rather difficult honestly. Some people set up baited traps but I am not sure how successful they are. The best one I heard of was a 2 liter coke bottle cut width wise (like a funnel) and placed upside down on the bottom of the tank with a piece of food inside. When the mantis crawls in to take the bait the walls of the 2 liter prevent it from crawling out. Or as I have helped my friend do, I pin point where the sucker is and pull the rock. BIG BIG BIG pain in the a@# but effective. Good luck

That's a really nice tank rich...Hopefully you can get it out without dismantling everyhing and stressing out those tangs....Try to get a 20oz sprite bottle and tie a string around the top of it...Put a piece of shrimp inside the bottle, put it on the bottom of the tank after the lights go out, and wait for the mantis to go in there...when he does, yank the bottle out of the tank..Hope this helps...Let us know how it goes
