I want to place my bulkheads as wide and as high as possible in my tank. how close to the edge of the glass can I drill a 2 3/8" hole? Ive heard no closer than the diameter of the hole I'm drilling. Is this true or false?
Help me choose the placement for my bulkheads please.

Do you have a diagram of your layout?Are you planning on using a overflow or open drains with screens?

What is the purpose of the bulkhead? Are you using it for an overflow or a return? Are you using it for a closed loop system?

Its for an over flow. I want them both as wide as I can make them. My question is how close to the edge of the glass pane can I realistically and safely drill?

Are you building a coast to coast overflow , using a acrylic one ,or just open drains.
