Help me get my Kole Tang to Eat

I got him about 5 days ago and since then he has done a great job of helping to control the the algae on the live rock, and a little on the glass. His color is great, he looks good and thick, and he is only slightly timid. No other fish are picking on him either. I just can't get him to eat. I regularly feed lettuce, seaweed, or brine shrimp, but he is not interested. I know that It takes time to get some tangs to eat, but I was just wondering if anyone had some especially effective methods that might help? Thanks a lot, as always!

ours was eating within 10 minutes of introducing him into the tank, so i find this odd, bu tdepending on the fish and situation anything can be different
anyhow, is he eating the algae?? if so he is doing fine, if he is not eating at all, is when i would worry,
but we feed ours dried seaweed(he only likes small bits htough) and algae wafers, other than that he eats soem of the brine when we add it wiht vitamins and or garlic
i don't know if any of this will help you, but this is what ours seems to like

Yeah , he's eating the algae off of the rocks and some off of the glass but that is all. I am just worried that I need to supplement that in some way but he turns it all down.

david, are offering seaweed selects or nori on a veggie clip? I keep some on a clip at all times in my tank. All the fish i keep will nibble on it all day.
