Help me ID this Stuff

I posted this in the new hobbyist forum but I would like to see what you guys think.
This stuff has been growing for a couple of months, and I dont know what it is.

it's a brown macro algae, as far as the name I am not sure, do a web search for brown algae I.D.

if it were not in a tank i would say it was those mushrooms that grow on the trees like in ferngully

looks like it could be Padina/Scroll Algae.

Yea It Does Look Like The Stuff Found On Trees...lol
